Lyndy Sizzlespark and her cousin, Rixie, wanted to open the best restaurant in Dun Morogh. And Rixie had heard rumors about an enchanted cookbook.
The next day, Lyndy woke up and found a map on her nightstand. It seemed to lead directly to the cookbook, which was located on Outland. It seemed like a strange place for a cookbook. But what could go wrong?
She went to get Rixie. Rixie had no idea how the map got there. But they both assumed it was no big deal. So, they went out to find it.
The map led to a strange, dark temple in Netherstorm. The two gnomes had to pass through many obstacles to get to the library. They managed to get through.
When they got to the library, Lyndy found the book. But it turned out that it wasn’t a cookbook at all. It was an evil, demonic tome! Dark magic flowed into Lyndy. She couldn’t stop it.
Then a cunning voidwalker entered the room. It was all a trap that he had set up. He wanted someone to come to this temple, take the power from the book, and join the Burning Legion.
And now, Lyndy had the power. She had given the demon exactly what he wanted.
Rixie was useless to him, so he tried to kill her. Lyndy, struggling to learn how to use her new magic, fought to save her cousin. She managed to defeat the voidwalker. She gave him a choice: help them get out of the temple, or die. He grudgingly agreed to help them.
Lyndy knew that she couldn’t go home with Rixie. She had to learn how to control the dark power within her. She needed to find someone who could help her with her. The voidwalker stuck around with her. He was her minion now.
When she came back to Azeroth, she met an older human warlock named Bethela. Bethela taught Lyndy how to control her powers and keep her demonic minion in check. Lyndy was free to go back home.
But she knew her life would never be the same again.
