    Day 12: “You can practice!”

This one is from right after I beat Sonic Forces for the second time. Both times, I beat the game in less than a week, so, theoretically, I can play it once per week (surprisingly, I haven’t started doing that yet).

If you’ve seen enough of my Sonic art posts, you probably know that I enjoy doing the character impressions while I’m playing. And I’d say I’m pretty decent at doing most Sonic character voices. But one of the ones I just can’t figure out how to do is Infinite’s. And, ironically, he’s the one where I’ve been practicing his voice the longest (because he sounds exactly like Illidan Stormrage). Despite all this, my Infinite/Illidan impression is still hilariously bad. If you want to know how bad it is, I literally make them sound like Wario. I’m not too upset about it, because it fits the chaos that ensues whenever I’m messing around with my siblings. But I just think it’s funny that I’ve been trying for about seven years, and still can’t do it. I think the problem is that I can’t get my voice deep enough.

So, the joke here is that, if I play Sonic Forces once a week, maybe I’ll learn how to do his voice better. But I kinda doubt that would change anything. I am by no means a professional voice actor. I just do the voices to be funny.

Day 13: “We’re going to Burger King.”

Rouge: “We’re going to Burger King.”

I don’t know. This is something random I said once while I was playing Sonic Adventure 2. I was struggling with a Rouge level, and slowly losing my mind, probably.

It was nice to finally draw Shadow this month! He took a weirdly long time to show up, and I usually draw him fairly regularly, because he’s one of my favorites. My top three at the moment are probably Infinite, Sonic, and Shadow. My favorite constantly switches between Sonic and Infinite, so they’re usually tied. But I do go through phases where I’m slightly more into one than the other, and I’ve been very into Infinite lately. Shadow’s almost always right behind those two these days.

    Day 10: The Wounded Knight

This one’s based on when I play Sonic and the Black Knight. It’s one of my favorite games of all time! The only problem is that all that Wii remote motion control action can hurt my arm. Because I’m an artist who draws every day, I make sure to play this game holding the Wii remote in my left hand to protect my drawing arm. Although, last time I played, I didn’t have much arm pain at all. But that’s because my brother and my older sister (who have both played quite a bit of Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword) told me that I don’t have to be so aggressive with my swings. And that definitely helped. Sonic may be fighting hordes of monsters, but that doesn’t mean that I have to swing the Wii remote like I’m fighting for my life.

    Day 11: “SILVER!!!”

This one’s another Mario and Sonic at the Olympics one. Can you tell that I love this game?

This drawing’s based on something funny that happened when my siblings and I were playing the rugby game together (which is my favorite minigame in the whole game, in case you were wondering). When the time came for my sisters to do the conversion part (forgive me if I worded this weird. I’m no sports expert), my younger sister, who was playing as Silver, somehow managed to throw the ball backwards. This was the only time anyone had ever done that, and it’s gone down in history as one of our many funny gaming moments that we’ll always remember.

    Sonictober: Days 8-9

    Day 8: OW!

This is another one based on Mario and Sonic at the Olympics (yay!). Whenever my younger sister plays as Metal Sonic, she always makes him talk like a LEGO Movie robot. This especially happens a lot in the Dream Racing game whenever anyone gets the lightning power-up.

    Day 9: Want Tea?

Mephiles: “Hello there, Sonic. Want tea?”

I’m just gonna start out by saying that none of us have played Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) before (it’s not on any consoles we own or Steam). But my brother has played Shadow Generations (the other game that has Mephiles in it), and he thinks Mephiles is neat.

This is based on something he said once while he and my younger sister were playing together last year. This was happening in me and my older sister’s bedroom, and we were all laughing. And I had this drawing sitting in my head for a year, so it was nice to finally get it on paper.

Also, this is my first time ever drawing Mephiles. I think he turned out pretty great! Of course, because he’s having a tea party, I had to give him a cute little hat!

  • Sonictober: Day 7: Legion Remix Special

Sonictober: Day 7: Legion Remix Special

Eggman: “Look at all those mounts!”

If you can’t tell from my 200+ (and counting)-page fancomic, I’m only a little obsessed with World of Warcraft: Legion. So, when Legion Remix was announced months ago, I was super excited! I obviously had to do a drawing for this special day!

This one came from right after I beat Sonic Forces for the second time in August. I decided to check Wowhead after beating the game to see if there was any WoW news. Because I had just finished playing Sonic Forces, I was still doing my character impressions as I looked through a Wowhead post showing a bunch of the mounts that will be in Legion Remix. There are going to be a lot. And I’ve been very into mount-collecting for the last few years. We’ll see how many I end up getting.

And, for anyone who might be curious, I already know who my first Legion Timerunner is going to be. He’s going to be a vulpera shadow priest named Mugen (Japanese for infinite). Making WoW characters based on characters I like is nothing new to me. I’ve literally been doing it since I started playing WoW back in 2017. That’s why so many of my characters have “vision” in their names. Because that was back when my big obsession was Avengers, and my favorite Avenger is Vision.

  • Sonictober: Days 5-6

    Sonictober: Days 5-6

    Day 5: “…And I got teary.”

This is based on once when I was playing Sonic Forces, and I was yapping about Infinite (as I often do), and I was saying that “I got chills” about something, and my siblings thought I was about to say that “I got teary.”

We were all laughing afterwards, because the funny they weren’t wrong to assume that I might have gotten teary-eyed over Infinite. I’m a very emotional person, and I get very passionate about the characters that I love.

So, for the drawing, I decided to draw an emotional Sonic hugging a very confused Infinite.

    Day 6: Embrace the Cringe

This one isn’t necessarily based on anything. This one’s kind of a self care drawing. As everyone does, I’ve been going through one of my phases where I feel a little insecure about the stuff I do and my interests.

These phases are a lot more common for me than they used to be. I’m sure part of it is just growing up. But my time on social media definitely didn’t help. In 2024, I was judged a lot for my interests and my ways of doing things in DMs. I know that you shouldn’t take things that jerks online say personally, but I do tend to internalize things (another thing I’m working on). Because I didn’t want to put up with this for the rest of my life, this is what led to me quitting social media (twice). When I returned to social media with my Sonic fanart briefly, I never got any mean comments, but I saw them coming a mile away. Mainly because of my unironic love for Sonic Forces (a hated game) and Infinite (a hated character from that hated game). I just didn’t want to take any chances.

Lately, I’ve been working on getting over this. It’s been some time. I’m really starting to see how stupid it all was now. Now, I’m focusing on drilling it into my brain that it’s all stupid. My love for Infinite and the way I write Illidan Stormrage in my silly fanfictions don’t actually matter. All that matters is that I’m having fun and not hurting anyone. I’ve actually been trying to draw Infinite a lot more lately. It kinda feels like a remedy for my social media brain-rot, drawing one of my most widely-disliked favorite characters, and embracing my genuine love for him. It also kinda feels like an act of defiance, because online fandoms seem to want everyone to be exactly the same. So, that’s another way to look at it (because I can be a little petty at times).

Anyway, that got really long. I’ve just been wanting to explain why I quit social media for a while now for any of my old followers who might be reading my posts (not sure how many of them do, but it’s the thought that counts). I’ve just been having a hard time finding a healthy way to approach it. Because I want my blog to be a happy space in the sea of negativity online. And my little encouraging doodle for myself today presented a good opportunity to speak up.

Anyway, I hope you didn’t mind my ramblings. And that you enjoyed the art, of course.

  • Sonictober: Days 3-4

    Sonictober: Days 3-4

I decided to put these two in the same post, because they’re both on the same page of my sketchbook. And yesterday was Fel and Blades day, and I consider the comic posts to be the more important blog posts. These ones are just for fun!

Day 3: “Am I olive oil?”

Just like on day 2, here’s the dialogue:

Tails: “Sonic? Am I olive oil?”

    Sonic: “What?”
Yeah. I’m sure we’re all just as confused as Sonic. And if you want to know the context, there’s none. This was another instance of my siblings and I being completely random. But we all have fun being random, especially when we’re hanging out!

    Day 4: Surfer Amy

    Amy: “Surf’s up, dude!”
This is based on one time when my siblings and I were playing Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games: Tokyo 2020. (Man, the titles for these games are so long… I usually just call it “Mario and Sonic at the Olympics”, “Mario and Sonic”, or simply “The Olympics”.)

Anyway, I really want to do more art based on this game, because it’s one of my favorites! It might be my favorite multiplayer game, but both Super Smash Bros: Ultimate and Sonic and the Secret Rings party mode are hard to beat. Mario and Sonic is definitely in my top three!

  • Sonictober: Day 2: Not Worth Killing

Sonictober: Day 2: Not Worth Killing

(A quick rundown of what they’re saying, because I’m not confident in my handwriting or picture-taking skills…)

    Infinite: “He wasn’t worth killing.”

    Eggman: “So…. He beat you?”

    Infinite: “….”

    Infinite: “Sigh….”

    Infinite: “He beat me…”

    Eggman: “Thought so.”

This one was a really fun one! The joke is based on that scene from Sonic Forces after the first Infinite boss fight where he totally could have killed Sonic, but just flew off instead. Obviously, they couldn’t actually have him kill Sonic, because then the game would be over in only a few levels. I just think it’s funny how he claimed that Sonic “wasn’t worth killing”.

So, this is Infinite going back to his boss, and telling Eggman that he messed up, but coming up with a cool and edgy excuse for it.

A big thing I was playing around with on this one was trying to make Infinite more expressive. Which isn’t easy to do, considering that the only part of his face you can see is just one eye. I had to focus a lot on his body language, and just doing what I could with that single eye. Overall, I think it turned out pretty great!

  • Sonictober: Day 1: All Grown Up

Sonictober: Day 1: All Grown Up

This year, I’m doing Sonictober! This is also my first time ever doing a more traditional Inktober, where I’m just doing ink drawings, because I’ve been having fun with my pens in my sketchbook this year!

Anyway, this drawing is based on an exciting moment I had in Sonic Adventure 2 a few weeks ago. My first chao grew up! I’ve never had a chao evolve before, so it was very exciting, going into the Chao Garden, and seeing a cocoon sitting there!

My chao’s name is Peaches, and she grew up to be a Hero chao. And I have a lot more chaos who are still babies. The Chao Garden is definitely my favorite part of the Sonic Adventure games! It has been since I was a kid.

Anyway, that’s all I have to say about this one! Come back tomorrow for the next Sonictober post!

  • Fanart Showcase: Sonic Forces Shenanigans

    Fanart Showcase: Sonic Forces Shenanigans

    Introduction

Hi, everyone! Welcome to another blog post!

This post is similar to my Smashtober posts. (If you haven’t read those, please check them out! I’m really proud of them!)

Anyway, this is the same concept as the Smashtober drawings. Where those drawings are based on funny things my siblings and I said while playing Super Smash together, these ones are based on things I said while playing Sonic Forces. It’s just me this time (with a few exceptions), because Sonic Forces is a single player game, obviously.

I usually start saying whacky things when I’m having a lot of fun. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is one of my favorite multiplayer games, so of course it gets pretty unhinged. Sonic Forces is pretty much the same, as it’s my favorite Sonic game.

Anyway, let’s get into it! I hope you enjoy these drawings!

    Cowboy Sonic

This one is actually the most recent one I’ve drawn. I decided to put it first, because this iconic (infamous?) quote is from the very first level.

The story is that I was trying to do a Sonic impression, but ended up sounding more like Applejack from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Trust me. I’m usually pretty good at doing Sonic impressions, if I do say so myself. You’re gonna have to take my word for it.

“Sonic! I hope nothing bad happens to you!”

    Yup. This one’s a two-parter.

It’s a comedic version of the start of the game, when Sonic is defeated by Infinite. It’s based on the video “Golden Freddy, I hope nothing bad happens to you!”. I’m very close to a Five Nights at Freddy’s fan, so I’m familiar with quite a few of the memes.

Fun fact: I believe I was drawing this one at 11:00 at night, and trying not to laugh and wake my family up. I do this fairly often, as I’m definitely a bit of a night owl.

    Super Guy!

This one was brought to you by my little sister. She said this. Not me.

Anyway, this is shortly after I made my avatar. If you’ve played the game, you know that you don’t start out with very many outfit options. So, I just put something together that turned out looking like a superhero costume.

    Sonic the Fashion Critic

Another example of me struggling to make my avatar look cool at the start of the game.

    Classic Sonic is not impressed.

    “He rides a bee!”

This is another one featuring my younger sister. She was acting as Infinite, I was Eggman.

This one’s referring to the Zavok boss fight, where he’s riding a giant bee robot. As far as I can tell, he never once rode a bee in Sonic Lost World, the game where he appeared. (Though I could be wrong. I never played that one.)

The joke is that Infinite hasn’t met Zavok, so, when he was creating the illusion Zavok that we fight in Sonic Forces, he messed up and made him like riding bees or something.

    Not prepared

Now, we’re at my drawings for the first Infinite boss fight. I’ve done three drawings based on this one boss fight, because I replay it too much.

This one’s from when I was trying to do the timed mission, and I needed to lock in. I wasn’t quite locked in at the moment, so I had to make a “You are not prepared!” joke. I can’t help it! I love Illidan Stormrage, and Infinite is voiced by the same actor!

This isn’t the only Illidan joke that’s going to show up. There are a few more….

    *Illidan noises*

    …..Like this one!

I had my volume turned down too low, so I couldn’t quite make out what he was saying without looking at the subtitles. So, I just said that I heard “Illidan noises”.

Ironically, this one was, and maybe still is, one of my best drawings of Infinite.

    Nobody died

More of me struggling with that Infinite timed mission. Don’t worry, I got it eventually!

In this attempt, I think my timing was way off, but Sonic never died once. It was an improvement!

    Justice

One of my best drawings of my avatar! I still love the lighting on this one!

This is from once when I was doing the Park Avenue level. Might have been the first time. I can’t remember.

Why I was shouting “JUSTICE!” is because the music in that level is this banger:

    “Team Bad!”

This amazing quote is brought to you by World of Warcraft battleground chat! My siblings and I have been repeating it since 2022.

This is based on the SOS missions. I’m gonna be honest, I fail them more often than I succeed. But I still managed to earn the Steam achievement for them!

Also, here you get to see my avatar’s final outfit! Isn’t she cute?

    Capital City

Here’s another one based on a meme. Because this is basically what you’re doing in the Capital City level.

If this drawing looks familiar, I did post it on social media when I was briefly trying to return earlier this year. (My worst decision of 2025, but I digress.)

This one isn’t based on something that I did specifically. It just popped into my head one morning, and I had to draw it. It’s a funny Sonic Forces drawing, so I thought it would fit this post.

Defeated by the power of friendship

This one’s like the last one, where it’s not something that I specifically said while I was playing. It was just an idea I had one day and had to draw.

I just thought it would be funny, because for the whole final Infinite boss fight, he’s talking about how friends are worthless and being very edgy about it. And then he gets defeated by the power of friendship.

And, yeah, that’s another “You are not prepared!” joke. I’m sorry.

    HAHAHA!

Here we have my only drawing based on the DLC, Episode Shadow.

I never thought I’d hear Illidan Stormrage laughing so much in such a short amount of time. It was a little bit jarring.

Seeing how unhinged Infinite was in Episode Shadow honestly made me like him even more. I already liked him after playing the base game, where he was just very serious and sinister. (And edgy. Don’t forget edgy.)

He’s my favorite Sonic villain by far. I just think he’s a really cool character.

“🎵 Guess I’m not getting one more last fist bump..🎵. “

This one (and its sequel, but we’ll get to that) are based on a funny thing my brother did. He sang “sad” versions of the two main Sonic Forces songs.

This one’s the game’s main theme, Fist Bump. Might as well leave a Spotify link, because I already did that with Justice.

This actually happened before I played Sonic Forces. I drew it afterwards, because that’s my avatar there.

    “🎵 Everything I’ve known is now gone… 🎵”

Here’s the sequel. My brother’s sad version of Infinite’s theme. AKA the best song in that wasn’t in the game all that much! It should have been in the last Infinite boss fight, instead of just briefly playing in a cutscene! But, anyway…

This drawing was another instance of me drawing too late at night, and trying not to laugh. It turned out just how I wanted it to.

    Sweet, creamy, tea

Another one based on something my little sister said. This was an accidental Infinite impression.

    But it was still hilarious!

    Outro

Those are all of my funny Sonic Forces drawings! I hope you enjoyed them!

    Thanks for reading!

  • Turning Animal Characters Into Humans

    Turning Animal Characters Into Humans

    Intro

Hi, everyone! Today, I’m showing off some of my drawings, and explaining my thought process behind them! I’m not used to doing posts like this, so sorry if my explanations are a little bit vague.

As a fan of Animal Crossing and, more recently, Sonic the Hedgehog, I’ve been drawing a lot of anthropomorphic animal characters for the past few years. I have a lot of fun drawing them, and I’m definitely getting better and better every time. But I still love drawing human characters and coming up with cool character designs. So, every now and then, I draw how I’d picture these characters as humans.

    Alright, let’s get into it!

    Animal Crossing

If this drawing looks familiar, it’s because I showed it in my Summary of Art (2024) post.

This drawing is the first time I’ve done this. It’s my favorite Animal Crossing characters, K.K. Slider, Tom Nook, Isabelle, and Timmy and Tommy.

As you can see, I kept the characters’ outfits the same. (Except for K.K., because he’s normally naked. Though, I did give him his DJ K.K. hat and glasses!) For Isabelle and K.K., I wanted to base their hairstyles off of the shapes of there ears. I also tried to keep all their eye shapes as similar to the originals as possible, while adapting them into my usual somewhat realistic style.

I also tried to keep their body shapes close to how they look in-game. For instance, Tom Nook is a little bit on the chubby side, so I gave him a heavier build. Same goes for K.K., who I made pretty tall and lanky.

Another thing I did with the Nooks in particular is that I extended their blush up around their eyes to replicate their tanuki masks. It’s very subtle, but I didn’t want it to be too intense.

    Sonic and Amy

Here’s today’s drawing! And this one is the reason why I wanted to write this post!

For Amy, I basically went about it exactly like how I did Isabelle and the Nooks. I kept her outfit exactly the same. It was very easy for me to turn her quills into a hairstyle. I kept her eyes nice and round to match her hedgehog counterpart. And I gave her long eyelashes, which is something I don’t do very often. But I think I should draw eyelashes like that more often, because it came out pretty cute!

Sonic, on the other hand, follows more of the same process as K.K. Slider, as he’s really only wearing gloves and shoes. I gave him a blue shirt with no sleeves to match his usual appearance better (he does have blue arms, sometimes, and for that, I’d give him long sleeves). I added those white stripes to his pants to make them match his gloves a bit better, and to make them look more like active wear. And then I made his hair very long and spiky to look like his quills. I love this hairstyle!

    Infinite

I bought Sonic Forces on Steam on Thursday, and I’ve been really enjoying it. So, naturally, on Friday, I decided to draw the game’s main villain, Infinite!

For Infinite, I generally followed the same things I did for all the other characters. I gave him his mask, obviously. I put him in a black bodysuit to match his black fur. I couldn’t forget the Phantom Ruby on his chest.

However, things did change a little when I chose his body shape, facial features, and hairstyle. I actually based him on another character that I love: Illidan Stormrage from World of Warcraft. My reason for doing this is because he reminds me of Illidan in quite a few ways. For starters, he is his scars and he’s voiced by Liam O’Brien. As someone who’s been drawing Illidan for six years, it just felt natural to me. That’s also why his mask doesn’t cover his entire face like it does in-game. Because I wanted it to look kind of like Illidan’s blindfold. I might draw a full-mask variant at some point.

    Outro

Alright, that’s all for today! I hope this was interesting or entertaining.

I want to be more active on my blog, because I enjoy writing about my drawings. But I have a hard time coming up with ideas. That’s why there’s no schedule to these posts yet. I just write them whenever I have an idea.

    Have a good day/night!
