When the worgen curse struck Gilneas, the Blackbrook family knew that they had to run. None of them were fighters. They would be helpless against the attacks. They had to travel to Bradensbrook with many others.
While they were riding their carriage out of the city, a pack of worgen ambushed them. Visiohn Blackbrook–the eldest daughter–bravely attempted to scare them off, by throwing a burning torch at the worgen. But, despite her attempts, the worgen still managed to bite everyone in the family. The pack died of their wounds soon after.
As the Blackbrooks continued their journey, they began to transform. Their wolf-like instincts kicked in. They did their best to resist it. But they still made mistakes. One of such mistakes was Visiohn feeling so bloodthirsty, she leapt off the carriage and started attacking all the wildlife in the area. Her younger sister, Illidrana, had to calm her down and get her to come back on the carriage.
Eventually, they did make it to Bradensbrook. They put their things in their new house. Then they instantly set out to talk to the druids of Val’sharah, trying to find a cure. Thankfully, the druids were able to help them. They could still shift into worgen, but only when they were feeling very strong emotions.
Visiohn was in awe at what the druids could do. She decided to start training with them. They also helped her contain her inner monster easier with meditations, bringing her back to her old calm and collected self. She ended up making a fine druid.
Now that she knew how to fight and heal people, she went on to become a soldier of the Alliance. She helped stop the Cataclysm and travelled to Pandaria to find the lost prince of Stormwind. She also went to the past version of the world known as Draenor.
So, when the Legion marched upon her world once more, she was ready to fight.
