Before Visionella fled Draenor with her aunt and uncle, she started training with an old orc named Nanya. Nanya taught Visionella how to use the power of the elements and channel it through weapons.
It was also Nanya who warned the village that orcs were on the way to attack. She and her fellow elementalists tried to help the draenei fight off their enemies. But it was no use.
When Terria was slain, Visionella tried to revive her sister with her newly-learned magic.
She failed.
And that failure haunted her for the rest of her life.
So, when the draenei came to Azeroth, Visionella wanted to start over. She stayed in Azure Watch, healing anyone who was injured in the crash, and helping anyone who was lost.
She did what she failed to do on Draenor.
But, as time went on, Visionella grew restless just staying in Azure Watch all the time. Her uncle, Xaerys, encouraged her to go out and start her own adventures. He wanted her to meet new people and forgive herself. Visionella thought that it sounded pointless at first, but did it anyway.
Visionella traveled to Stormwind to do tasks for the Alliance. Her elemental magic proved useful in battle. She made lots of friends along the way. She even developed a huge crush on a human huntress named Leosarus.
Most importantly, while Visionella was out adventuring with her new friends, she learned to forgive herself. To let go of her past. Because her life wasn’t over yet.
